DPCR conducts BPATs Trainor’s Training in PRO2
As part of the full implementation of LOI 22/09 “BAYANIHAN”
(Barangay Peacekeeping Operations), The Directorate for Police Community
Relations Camp Crame conducted Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams
(BPATs) Trainor’s Training on January 18-20, 2012 held at Victoria
Hotel,
Tuguegarao City.
A total of seventy-five (75) participants from the different
municipalities in the region attended the training. The said activity
was facilitated by PNP NHQ Mobile Training Team from TDPCR led by PSSUPT
EDWIN C RONAN, PSSUPT ROLANDO VICENTE and PSUPT ADRIATICO DEL CAMAT
assisted by the Regional Police Community Relations Division headed by
PSSUPT DANTE B NARAG.
During the opening ceremony, PRO2 RD ATTY RODRIGO PURISIMA DE
GRACIA, represented by PSSUPT JOVENCIO C CARILLO, CESE, Deputy Regional
Director for Operations encouraged the participants to take the
training seriously in order to improve their services as partners of
PRO2 in the maintenance of peace and order in the community .
The mobile training team lectured on the basic concepts and
components of Barangay Peacekeeping Operations (BPKO) and Barangay
Peacekeeping Action Team in order to achieve the establishment of
effective community partnership geared towards the attainment of peace.
RD DE GRACIA emphasized the vital role of BPATs as the eyes and
ears of the community in the campaign against criminality especially in
the battle against illegal drugs. He believes that through this
training, BPATs will improve their knowledge and capabilities in
performing their
duties and functions as members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Teams in
their respective barangays.
